She teaches leaders to stop performing certainty—and start asking better questions.

About Lauren

Lauren Ready is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, bestselling author, and keynote speaker. She is the creator of the Question Lens™ Method—a proprietary behavioral framework that helps leaders ask the questions that unlock trust, drive innovation, and reveal the truths that answers never could.

Her book, Ask Like a Leader, is a practical guide to curiosity-driven leadership—built for executives, managers, and emerging leaders who are tired of the pressure to have all the answers and ready for a method that actually works.

The Credentials Behind the Method

Lauren didn’t learn to ask better questions in a classroom. She learned in a newsroom.

She began her storytelling career at 17 as a production assistant in local TV news. Over the next decade, she became an award-winning video journalist covering breaking news across Iowa, Nebraska, and Memphis—where the job was simple: ask the right question, or miss the story.

In 2014, she founded Forever Ready Productions, a nationally recognized video storytelling studio that has helped nonprofits raise over $20 million through purpose-driven stories. A six-time Regional Emmy Award winner, her work has changed laws, shaped campaigns, and sparked movements. Her documentary What We’ll Never Know led directly to a change in child interrogation laws in Tennessee.

She has been honored as the Memphis Business Journal’s Small Business of the Year, a Super Woman in Business, a Top 40 Under 40 leader, and a Just Society Awards Finalist by Evident Change for her contributions to criminal justice reform through storytelling.

Beyond the Stage

Lauren lives in Memphis with her husband Scott and their son Max. She is a certified drone pilot — among the fewer than 7% of women in the U.S. with that credential—and is working to visit every U.S. National Park, camera in hand and curiosity leading the way.
