Over more than 5,000 interviews, Lauren noticed a pattern: the moments that changed a story, and the outcomes that mattered, almost always started with a question rather than an answer. That pattern became the Question Lens™ Method, her proprietary six-part framework — known by the acronym OSCARS — for asking questions that build trust, uncover truth, and move people to act. It is the spine of her keynotes, her book, and the Leadership Curiosity Index, a five-dimension personal diagnostic she built to give leaders a concrete baseline for their own curiosity.
Lauren's keynotes, including her flagship talk Ask Like a Leader, have reached leadership conferences, executive retreats, associations, and organizations across industries, earning some of the top engagement scores on the program. Meeting planners return to her because her sessions leave audiences with a behavioral skill they can put to use in their very next meeting.
Beyond the stage, Lauren is the founder of Forever Ready Productions, a nonprofit storytelling studio that has helped organizations raise more than $21 million through purpose-driven video, and of the Curiosity Impact Collective. She holds a commercial drone pilot license, a credential fewer than 7% of U.S. women hold, and has produced documentary work spanning subjects from criminal justice reform to community resilience.
Lauren is based in Memphis, Tennessee, and speaks worldwide, in person and via virtual and hybrid formats.
Keynotes
Four talks, one core method. Every session pairs with the Leadership Curiosity Index.
Ask Like a Leader
Why the Best Leaders Stop Answering — and Start Asking. Leaders are rewarded for having answers, until that expectation quietly erodes trust, innovation, and team ownership. Lauren teaches the Question Lens™ Method and OSCARS framework as a behavioral skill audiences use the same day.
Best for: Leadership conferences · Executive retreats · HR & culture events · Association keynotes
The Paradox of Expertise
Why Experience Can Kill Curiosity — and How Great Leaders Avoid the Trap. The more experienced we become, the more we're expected to know — and that's exactly when curiosity starts to disappear. Pairs with the Leadership Curiosity Index as a personal diagnostic of the blind spot.
Best for: Executive audiences · Technical leaders · Senior leadership development
Ready or Not
How Leaders Make Better Decisions When the Path Isn't Clear. Lauren shares her own journey from journalist to CEO, and the questions that carried her through uncertainty, risk, and growth.
Best for: Women's leadership events · Change initiatives · Emerging leader programs
Telling the Untold Story
How Curiosity Unlocks the Stories That Move People to Act. Drawing from her Emmy-winning documentary career, Lauren teaches the IMPACT Storytelling™ Framework for finding the stories hiding in plain sight.
Best for: Communicators · Nonprofits · Marketing teams · Mission-driven organizations
Workshops & executive program
For groups who want to practice the method, not just hear about it.
The Question Lens™ Lab
Opens with the Leadership Curiosity Index, then puts OSCARS into practice through real-scenario role-play. Best for managers, directors, and OD cohorts.
Storytelling That Moves
Participants shape real stories from their own organizations using the IMPACT Storytelling™ Framework, with live feedback. Best for fundraisers and communicators.
Lead With Story
Combines the Question Lens™ Method with the IMPACT Storytelling™ Framework for CEOs and senior leaders. Best for Vistage, YPO, board retreats, and C-suite development.
